Nothing refreshes like ice-cold watermelon on a scorching-hot day. In this recipe it’s jazzed up with spicy jalapeño chile, tangy lime juice, and sweet basil.
Ingredients:
3 cups chilled, cubed watermelon
1 tablespoon minced jalapeño chile
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
Juice of 1 lime
Salt
Assembly:
Put the watermelon, chile, and basil in a medium bowl. Sprinkle the lime juice over the top and stir gently to combine. Season with salt to taste. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
