Overview
This guide covers how to add, edit, and remove page content in Squarespace version 7.1.
Editing Page Content
Entering Edit Mode: Click on the Edit button located at the top left of your website preview to access editing options.
Adding Sections
Types of Sections:
Standard Page Section: Allows multiple content blocks that can be rearranged.
List Section: Creates list items.
Gallery Section: Features a gallery of images.
Blank Section: Use a blank section to create a Summary. A Summary will display your Products.
Adding a New Section: Click on Add Section and choose from pre-made options or create a blank section.
Customizing Sections
Pre-built Sections: Includes headlines, images, quotes, text, and video. These can be customized, but list and gallery sections behave differently.
Blank Section: Use a blank section to create a Summary. A Summary will display your Products.
Editing Backgrounds: To remove a background image, click the edit icon, select Background, and remove the image.
Adding Content Blocks
Adding Content: Click the plus sign to add any content block (e.g., images, text). You can upload files or select from your library. A Summary will display your Products.
Deleting Blocks: To remove a content block, click on it and select the trash icon. For entire sections, click the trash icon for that section.
List and Gallery Sections: These sections do not allow the addition of content blocks in the same way as standard sections.
Adjusting Content Design: Customize the design of your content blocks using various options available in the editor.
