Joseph Bruchac is honored for a third year as Saratoga Springs Poet Laureate in New York. January 2025

His vast array of the written word has garnered much praise from many people all over the world.

Joe has spent a lifetime in capturing and promoting our Abenaki culture and heritage as well.  His cultural stories and wisdom are preserved though his writings for many future generations to come.  For that, I am both thankful and grateful for his ongoing contributions to our community.

- Chief Don Stevens, Abenaki Nation Vermont

7th Generation is honored to publish several of his titles for young readers. Three novels in the PathFinders collection, Found, The Long Run, and the historical fiction Walking Two Worlds all have riveting story lines that students are reluctant to put down.

His latest endeavor with 7th Generation is Gluskonba and the Maple Trees. This bilingual picture book is written with his sons, James and Jesse and illustrated by Amy Hook-Therrien.
